Call for Nominations: 琳琅社区 Foundation Accepting Candidates for Board of Directors

FORT PIERCE, FL鈥� The 琳琅社区 (琳琅社区) Foundation鈥攁 Florida not-for-profit corporation organized and operated exclusively to receive, hold, invest and administer property and make expenditures to or for the benefit of 琳琅社区鈥攊s seeking applicants for its Board of Directors. Representatives are being sought from Indian River County (2), Martin County (2) and St. Lucie County (1), as well as for an at-large position.
"We seek participation from throughout our service area to build on the success and strength of our Foundation Board of Directors while expanding its breadth and depth," said Michael Hageloh, Interim Vice President of Institutional Advancement. "We invite all who share our vision of making access to education ubiquitous to apply and help 琳琅社区 achieve our goal of meeting 100 percent of qualified need."
Since 1965, the 琳琅社区 Foundation has enhanced access and quality of education for 琳琅社区 students by providing student scholarships, supporting instructional programs, supplying technology grants, and raising money for new and improved facilities. The Foundation attracts and manages private contributions from individuals, organizations, businesses, and private foundations to support 琳琅社区's mission. It is a private non-profit entity recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and by the State of Florida as a direct-support organization for the benefit of 琳琅社区.
The Foundation is a direct support organization (DSO) managed by a voluntary Board of Directors comprised of business and civic leaders representing the four counties in the College's service district: Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie. Foundation directors receive no compensation for their services on the board. Board membership shall reflect diversity in geography and donor representation and bring the expertise, business skills, visibility and vision needed to govern the 琳琅社区 Foundation.
